I have rheumatoid arthritis andI wanted to know if anyone has taken pridezone for this condition and what side effects did give you. Mine was gain weight and wanting to eat all the time.
Prednisalone is a steroid hun.....my mum took it for athsma. Very good anti inflammatory but weight gain and appetite are often a side effect. So maybe short term use ?

Hi Sweet, its so ironic that you posted today because I suspect that I have it too, but I have not had it checked but I must ask you, did you have joint swelling or any nodules. I am dreading going to get this checked because I have extreme anxiety centered around anything with the dr. But, I do want to eat all the time, but not sure if that is R.A or me being very greedy! Also, no weight gain, I am overweight but actually have lost about 20 pounds in the last year, but I still need to lose 50, which seems like the impossible dream once you get over 50.
Am over weight also but had lost 17 lb. But as soon as I started taking the predizone I gain it all back. And yes all my upper joint from my shoulders all the way down to the tip of my fingers the pain was so bad i wwouldn't sleep all night.and the answer to your question I don't think its the RA.
