Hi, I started taking Setraline 50mg today and I have spent most of the day out of it, feels like im back in my teens twenty years ago being a naughty boy and doing things i shouldnt have been.
My question is this? is this normal and likely to continue as im a HGV driver and cannot be feeling like this behind the wheel.
Any advice or simmilar experiances would be great
cheers
Surprised your doctor started you at 50 and not 25. First few weeks are tough...it's a ride for sure. Take care
Hi Stuart!
Yes, very common. I am in week 9 and do not have the zombie feeling anymore. In fact I have been feeling pretty darn good with minimal anxiety issues. I am on 100mg.
My side effects included, daily nausea, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pains, increased lethargic state...
After about 6 weeks all were pretty much gone.
One recommendation from my doc for the stomach issues was that those with GAD usually start to suffer from IBS as well so a daily probiotic is helpful. It has worked great for me.
Everyone has a different experience with Zoloft so just because I had those side effects does not mean you will to.
Hang in there. My experience has been positive and worth the side effects early on.
God Bless!
HI Stuart, as horrible as the side effects are stick with it. Some people experience these for a few weeks however I was fortunate and after day 5 my side effects weren't as severe. I was feeling very cloudy minded and spaced out on 50mg but it does get better. Maybe it would be safer to get a note off your doctor for a week or two if you explain what work you are in. Good luck.
