Hello,
Can anyone help? My husband has been peeing blood for over three years. Sometimes macroscopic, usually microscopic. It started out as myoglobin in the urine when the doctor first tested it, then everytime after that it has been blood in the urine. He also has pain in the right side of the abdomen, that sometimes is so intense he falls to the ground. When the nausea kicks in, he takes ondansetron disolveables. Sometimes that does the trick other times not. When the anti-nausea doesn't work, he becomes very weak and we have to go to the ER for a saline IV drip, intravenous IV of zofran/ondansetron, and sometimes pain killers. Once administered, he is usually better in 10 minutes. When he checkes into the ER he usually has low O2, BP and HR. The attacks seem to be more frequent now than previously. He has had lots of bloodwork done, cytoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopy, CT scans, etc. If anyone has any ideas or tests that I could ask the doctors to run, I would appreciate it!
