A little apprehensive about starting this medication.

Just wondering if anyone who is using it or has used it in the past has any opinion either negative or positive?.

I was on Enbrel for about a year and since I still had swelling in hands and ankles my rheumy decided to start me on Simponi.  It worked for 2 1/2 months and suddenly stopped working!  I was in so much pain in my arm I almost went to the emergency room!  I went to my doctor and got a shot of prednisone.  Put me back on Enbrel.  I had no side effects on Simponi.  I used the sure click and could hardly feel it!  Enbrel stings big time!

I hope you do better than I did as far as working with no side effects!

btw, Enbrel was an injection every week, Simponi once a month.

No problems goggi good drug but only seems to last me aprox three weeks

Simponi (Golimumab), one of the biologics.

Tried Enbrel, had dreadful injection site reactions. Had to stop after 6 weeks.

Thanks Stephen, Dr wants me to continue on MTX, Sulfasalazine and Plaquenil. Is that normal? Seems like alot!

Yes goggi one compliments the other and makes them more effective than on there own but do talk to the doctor he should be able alay your fears
