Has anybody being affected with bad sinus after a migraine I don't know if the two are connected any advice appreciated
At the risk of exposing my ignorance, I don't really know what bad sinus means but I seem to have a permanently blocked or runny nose. I noticed a mouldy odour in my bedroom and I turned my mattress over and found it was quite mildewed underneath (more of a powdery whitish mould). I'm now wondering if this is contributing to or causing my nasal problems and migraines. I would buy a new mattress but my partner is against the idea and says I'm imagining the mould (I'm not - he just can't smell it!). Don't want to start a thread hijack so if this isn't the same as bad sinus, please ignore!
Hi Fiona - I thought I had a really bad sinusitis following a viral infection a month earlier. However, following scans and a referral to see an ENT consultant I was told it definitely was migraine. I still have migraine symptoms but it has changed to earache before adverse headache. I cannot put a phone to my ears it is so bad. It's worth asking your gp to check it out. Best wishes.
Yes and I was told by my neurologist this is another symptom of migraine, I experience running nose, ear pressure, tinnitus, blurred vision, blackouts plus headache and nausea for 2 weeks a month.
I always have "sinus" issues BEFORE my migraine strikes... my neuro doc said a lot of so called sinus issues are really migraines.... they go hand in hand unfortunately
Thanks everyone it's good to know that sinus and migraine are connected.I thought i was imaging it
I've suffered all of ur symptoms but I never made the connection with the sinus it just I've being getting it lately after a migraine it now another symptom to watch for
I had sinus surgery and have terrible migraines.
Idk if that was my cause though, since I still have them.
