Hi everyone. I have had this problem on and off for years. This time it is horrible. My head feels like it will explode, me ears hurt, my head hurts. Not much nasal drip just congested and feeling lousy. I'm on prednisone, mucinex, and levofloxacin and Flonase. Missing work and life. I have stood in hot showers, used Nedi pot for irrigation and nasal spray, drank hot tea and put hot towels on my face. Can't get this to break up. I'm on my third round of antibiotics. Oh and I feel very dizzy because I have fluid on my ears. Any help or suggestions would be great. I'm missing the gym and need to get back to work.
Thanks,
Michele
I feel ur pain i have had the some of the symptoms u described most days but with horrible nasal drip. My symptoms r to long to list, lol. I have stayed away from antibotics because there has been no infection. But i am currently on a dose prednisone because my last visit to the ENT he was able to see a ton of inflammation in my nasal passages which was cause a problem with my ears. The ENT also took a fungal culture from my nose to c if a fungus of some sort is the reason for the congestion. It is very frustrating because i do not how i am going to feel the next day. Right now i have no real advise but you r not alone
Thanks for responding. Lmk about the tests. I may need to try something else if this does not work. Hang in there.
hi Michele, my suggestion is that you have an auto immune disorder. I identify with all your symptoms. Went round in circles for years and finally got a diagnosis in my 40's. It is very frustrating. No one seems to know what is going on. Blood work scans etc all clear. Everyone thinks you are stressed or hysterical or both. But like me you may have auto immue issues. Hard to be diagnosed but you need to see the right kind of specialist. x
Who did you go to and find out? My regular doctor almost let me die a few months ago, I had pneumonia and they gave me allergy medication and sent me home.i had to go to the hospital 3 times before they found it. Internal medicine maybe? ThAnk you for your help.
