Sitz Baths. Okay, how do they work?

Hello Loves!

So, I’m really interested on trying to determine what am i doing wrong with these sitz baths.

I bring my sitz bath bowl into the tub with me. Fill it up. But when I hover over the sitz bath, my vulva is not inside. Perhaps the water is hitting some of my perineum but certainly not where the cyst is so I’m not sure how affective that is.

Also, for those who say they do a sitz bath 2-3 times a day, how are you doing so? Are you showering/ taking a bath that many times a day?

For me, it is a little difficult because the shape of the sitz bowl is different than the shape of my toilet so i can’t sit there.

Tried to do it in my room and got water everywhere.

I consider myself relatively smart but this has me stumped. Any suggestions?

I have a cyst the size of a large egg and I usually sit in the bath tub filled with hot water for about an hour. You don’t have to sit that long though. About 15-30 min a few times a day should do it. I just do it for an hour bc I don’t want to have to keep hopping in the tub 2 to 3 times each day. You want to fill the tub with just enough water to submerge the cyst. Hope this helps:)
