Hello.
I am a 32 year old male, healthy and in good shape. Recently I was on vacation with lots of walking about in the sun and a few days afterwards I noticed a little hyper pigmentation on my forehead.
I visited the local dermatologist who subscribed a custom treatment cream for me, with the following ingredients(note- I copied his own hand writing so some of the ingredients might be misspelled):
· Hydroquinone 3%
· Hydrocortisone 1%
· Retinol(?) 0.25%
· ascorbic acid 0.5%
· Add 50g cuan sofe(?)
The doctor told me to apply the cream for 4 hours each day while at hme(since daylight causes the cream to break down), and apply it evenly across the forehead so that the result will be even. He said the treatment can last several months until we see final results.
I have 2 questions:
1. Once I start applying the cream, will my skin be more susceptible to the sun and develop more pigmentation in the future if not protected heavily during exposure to the sun?
2. If the action of the cream is actually to make the skin whiter, will there not be any differences between the forehead and the rest of the face?
Thanks ahead!!
