It's been 3 weeks to the day since I had the haemorrhoidectomy for 3 internals one of which was more prolapsed than the others and had a bit of the incision coming slightly external. I've been pretty lucky with the recovery, all pain stopped on day 9 and the only time I was in pain was after pooping from around day 4-8. Everything feels good and at first glance, visually things look a lot better than what it was but the past few days I've noticed 2 purple lumps inside and I know people talk about getting skin tags after surgery but why are they called skin tags when they're literally lumps? I don't know if that's what this is but if it is are these expected to go away soon? Also, when I had the surgery the surgeon assured me he would also remove another skin tag/residual skin from an old one I had after I had asked him to but he never did?? I think he removed the internal hem that was the source but the extra skin is definitely still there, any idea why he would have done this because all I can think of is that he forgot? Someone please help.
