hi there, late June I got an anal skin tag removed - unfortunately just for cosmetic reasons. i had an internal hemorrhoid that the surgeon told me not to worry about if it didn't bother me, and it didn't. he told me that the skin tag surgery would be quick and that I'd need just a weekend to recover. and before i left the procedure, the dr told me that there'd be swelling that felt / looked like a hemorrhoid but not to worry because it wasn't. let me tell you... the PAIN from that removal was unmatched. i couldn't even sit up straight the first week because i'd get light headed and faint. it took me 2 - 3 weeks to feel normal again. well, 2 months later with "swelling" still on my butt hole, i went back to the surgeon for a check up and what do you know.... now my internal hemorrhoid is "pulling the skin around my anus" or whatever that means - basically it's prolapsed. i have not strained, bled or passed hard stool since before the procedure. my stools have been soft and painless - there's no way of knowing why or how this happened all of a sudden. only options now are to leave the hemorrhoid which is worse looking than the original skin tag or get a hemorrhoidectomy which i know is going to be even more painful. BUT WAIT there's more. Hemorrhoidectomies are known to leave you a little present post procedure called... skin tags. I'm literally going in a f-word circle. i feel so defeated right now. don't know what to do.
