Skipped heartbeat please help

So I experiance the occasional skipped heartbeat every now and again and I do have anxiety and sometimes they are tiny and I can barely feel them but sometimes they are so strong. And other times I have 2 or 3 fast ones in a row although its more rare for that y too happen. Does anyone else get the 2 in a row or sometimes just flutters for a few seconds. I have been to docs and hospital and had ECG and blood tests and they say its fine. Waiting on a echo to look at structure as a precaution. They say it's anxiety but this past month I have felt so bad with anixety and had hardly any skipped heartbeats? So how can that be if its anxiety related? Then today I felt fine and then I got one and then I got up and moved and had another few one was stronger than the others. Is this normal?

Do you not feel it is the Anxiety that is causing this minimal disruption to your heart beat. You are in a strange place in some ways, you will be frightened of your palpitations yet you are also concerned regards the test then your results. You will feel anxious again with the fear they will find something wrong then frightened that they have missed something then worry and ask for further examinations that in turn will push you down a further pathway towards more of those positive results.

You need to learn and trust those Specialists who perform these tests and the GP who listens to your fears and associated Anxiety. In a way I would suggest to you that these palpitations are part of your fears and Anxiety and you are allowing yourself to be ruled by your fears and associated negativity. You need instruction to understand not all health concerns are terminal in nature, they are not serious and you will get better given time. Try and look towards the positive side of life and understand those around you do suffer worrying about their health. Although they can control their fears and expect that they will suffer illness  at various times and will try and treat it with support of GP or chemist. Goint to hospital is quite a rare activity, and even if something is wrong they will become healthy once more

Move on enjoy your life, warts and all

I suffer from severe health anxiety and have done for about 10 years. always thinking there’s something wrong with me or going to happen to me, I get pains in my chest , dizziness, all kinds of symptoms. Doctors have always put it down to anxiety, had so many ecg’s blood tests chest X-rays and every time they came back as normal, 5 years ago I got diagnosed with ectopic heart heart , skippy beats every other beat all day everyday for about 2 weeks, I went back to the doctors and they gave me beta blockers ( propanalol) this slowed my heart beat down and went my heart stopped skipping (extra heart beat the doctors say), I weaned myself off them about 2 years ago. Now I get the odd flutter and the same as you describe a strong heart beat 3 times in a row now and again, doctors say it’s normal and nothing to worry about, but it really gives me the frights when it happens.
