Sleep clinic

A couple months ago I saw a cfs consultant who recommended me for sleep clinic to see if there was a possibility of a sleep disorder. To put you in the picture, I sleep for a massive amount of time and when I am awake I can't get out of bed. I struggle with lots of things and often can't do much. I've been signed off work for just over two months and they won't let me come back until I've been for the sleep clinic.

Last week I was fitted with a sleep tracker on my arm and on Monday I'm due to go to stay over night and be monitored. Does anyone have any experience of this and an outcome?

Thanks smile

Yes, I had a sleep study done several years ago. I stayed overnight at a facility and was monitored. My results came back normal. If you struggle with ME/CFS, going back to work is probably not a good idea. I realize there are financial considerations, but you don't want to make yourself worse. I did this, and had to leave work for good. There was no choice at that point.

No sleep over at a clinic, but sleeping at hime with a gadget over two nights, checking for sleep apnea. Many people with chronic conditions have it,and can benefit from having it treated.

Yes I did it as part of the ruling out procedure.
