woke with bad dream feeling like panic. Never had panic attack but take diazepam to sleep for last few years. Also have untreatable depression. Whats happening?
Hi Ann. I’m Tim, and I’m a registered nurse. What’s happening is your body isn’t getting proper nutrients. I don’t know what your diet is, but I know that most people don’t get the nutrients their bodies require. One of the most important nutrients for you, with your anxiety and sleep problems, as well as your depression, is vitamin E and vitamin B (and some other key nutrients). Specifically, vitamin E in tocotrienol form is what the human body loves more than any other form, and tocotrienol vitamin E is also the most potent form of vitamin E known to mankind. Once you start getting the proper nutrients in your body, then your adrenal glands and other organs will function properly, and a whole host of your health problems will disappear.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask away. I used to suffer with extremely awful anxiety and panic attacks, and I studied and studied and found the exact right combination of nutrients that the body needs, in order to feel healthy and normal
How kind you are
i am on warfarin and fodmap type diet after horrific stomach problems post gb removal. N
showed up no gluten, no dairy or fats and diarrhoea stopped. Also on warfarin for previous p.e. So scared to take supplements as they seem to react. Now got e coli uti and feeling very ill with antibiotics.
Dont know what i can or cant take.
Hi Tim,
It's good of you to put yourself forward as a professional offering advice here when so many of us need it.
I have anxiety that was under control until a several weeks ago. I was taking citalopram 10mg for about 5 years but came off it thinking I didn't need it anymore as I was doing ok. I've been back on it for about four or five weeks as my anxiety came back. Now my anxiety is bad. I feel nervous, palpations, fluttering in chest, some lightheadedness and it's pretty scary. I am too afraid to leave the house.
I am late 50's. I had an echocardiogram about two years ago and about two years before that with chest xray, 24 hour heart monitor and all were ok. I had bloods done a fortnight ago and they are ok.
I also changed from bendroflumethiazide to ramipril for border line blood pressure a couple of weeks ago (on my request after discussing it with my GP-one month trial) but after a week went back on bendro because of the side effects of ramipril. I am due to see my GP in about a weeks time to review my blood pressure med.
Should I ride it until Citalopram works again or should I be concerned about heart flutters. I am trying to be rational because I know that anxiety can cause palpitations and heart flutters. That part has calmed a bit since yesterday after a stressful Saturday. I'm not short of breath and am going about my chores. I just constantly worry about my health. My husband is fed up and that's not helping either.
Any advice, from anyone, would be great.
Thank you
Hi Ann,
I hope you don't mind me gatecrashing your thread. I too am looking for answers. It's such a relief that people are willing to share their experiences on here.
I have woken from sleep with an anxiety/panick attack??? a couple of times recently and it's scary. I also wake up from a bad dream with my heart racing.
It's only since I started juggling with my meds so I'm hoping things will settle again.
My husband had his ball bladder removed about five years ago, after what he went through you have my sympathy. He lost lots of weight and felt weak for months after. He didn't even have gallstones. His scan came back clear but whilst at the hospital I made him go to A&E because he was obviously ill, they kept him in hospital for three weeks with scepticaemia, he was put on antibiotics. He had to go back weeks later for his gb to be removed after it had healed.
I was interested to read that you are taking Diazepam and am wondering whether to mention this to my GP. Perhaps I need additional meds for my anxiety.
Caring Nurse Guy has suggested vit E but you say you cannot take supplements. Can you include it in your normal diet though ie, almonds, spinach, kale, raw seeds, even eggs contain some bit E. I don't know much about these things just a thought.
I hope you start feeling well again soon.
I'm here if you want to chat.
Take care
