I have been facing sleep problems this entire week. However, yesterday i slept for 10 hours and still felt tired. Today, I kept waking up every 2 hours only to sleep for approximately 5 hours. Any particular reason why this might be happening? Tbh im so conscious about my sleep. I count hours to make sure i slept enough and think about sleep all the time. Please help guys! I wanna go back to the normal routine. Thanks
is anything bothering you or do you have generalized anxiety? That can really affect your sleep. Try not to count the hours and just sleep naturally. Your body knows what it needs. don’t try to force sleep.
are you getting enough physical activity during the day so that you can sleep well? Are you taking into much caffeine?
you are probably overthinking this which is causing the irregular sleep pattern .
I overthink things also but when I listen to sleep meditations on YouTube I fall fast asleep. They really help me relax and get my mind focused on something else. You could also speak with a counselor because perhaps there something in your life causing an underlying anxiety. that has also helped me a lot. Hope you feel better soon.
thank you for responding! Yes, i was diagnosed with generalized anxiety beginning of this year. I did have sleep troubles earlier but everything went away once I was put on amitriptyline. I stopped that and my sleep was going well. My neighbor passed away this week and I just become anxious every night I go to bed. The fear that I wont be able to sleep well and my whole day will be long and dull. Can you recommend some sleep meditations on youtube? I’d love to try that tonight and see if it helps me. Thank you!
