However, the last two days, I can't seem to be going to sleep and I am starting to get really anxious. Is this normal? I'm freaking out just because I cant sleep. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

A few years ago I went through a really bad period of not being able to sleep. I was at my witt’s end. It caused me a tremendous amount of anxiety. Its a long story but the most useful information I got from the NHS and others is that lack of sleep cannot harm you. No one has ever died through lack of sleep. You may feel tired but that is all. It isn’t the lack of sleep but the worry about it that makes you feel so bad. A massive number of people have sleep problems at some time in there lives and it always blows over in the end. It may sound glib but the only way to solve it is to stop caring. It really honestly can’t do you any serious harm so get the attitude “I don’t give a damn whether I sleep or not” and let nature sort it. By the way, be aware of the fact that even when you are 100% certain that you haven’t slept a minute all night, the truth is you will have got some sleep. There is just no way you can tell. It is actually impossible to stay awake constantly for very long.
its very normal.
so when you are laying there trying to sleep, does your mind race?
what I do is listen to some great meditations for anxiety on YouTube which totally put me at peace and I fall asleep listening to them.
I REALLY like one called ITS OK by lauren . sooo calming and reassuring. There are so many more also.
i listen to them every night with my earbuds when lying in bed.
another thing is when you get good exercise during the day usually you can sleep better. Hope you feel better and zzzzzzz
ive had insomia going on 10 years now. It is very frustrating to say the least.
Try no screen time 1/2 an hour before bed etc see how you go.
