Lozza, I totally get what you are saying. I had non-stop symptoms the first 8 months after diagnosis and one of my biggest complaints, was that crawly feeling. It was worse than all the others, because it feels like an insect is living inside of you, which then makes you feel dirty... Irrational as that is, it does.
I had a horrendous ob that resulted in severe neuropathy and constant paresthesia, which is what you are experiencing right now.
Are you on daily meds or no? Everyone gets caught up in worrying about their second ob, but I am here to tell you, it is nothing. You will expect that it will be like your first and it isn't. I've had an ob every month once or twince since having it and it is so minimal, had I not made a habit of looking down there, I'd never known. I can go about my life like it wasn't there. I know easier said than done, but just stop worrying about it. I promise you it won't be like what you think. You'll feel maybe some mild tenderness at most. For some people, myself included, it takes time for your body to adapt to the virus and start feeling normal again. Be patient w yourself sweetie.. Believe in your body, know it needs to heal and also know it is normal to feel the way you do. Being diagnosed is a grieving process w out a doubt. How you feel now will pass, just be patient and know acceptance will come.
I don't know all the details of your diagnosis and about your partner, sounds like he is an asymptomatic carrier to be honest. Any who.. Please advise on the below.
As far symptoms do the following:
- soak in Epsom salt baths as much as possible.
- wrap a cold pack w paper towels and rest between your legs when you are resting.
- take 800mlgs of motrin every 4hrs
- if it hurts to pee, sit in a shallow bath and go. If you can't do that, a heavy coating of Vaseline over sores will provide a shield.
In regards to helping stop or slow down or decrease the intensity of the obs, I started a supplement routine, as I used to have two obs a month and 20 symptoms on a daily basis the first 8 mm months.
- 2000mlg daily of Vitamin C & D
- daily zinc and magnesium
- 2x daily multivitamin
- all vitamin Bs, A, K & E. Those are needed for the Bs to work properly for good nerve function and repair.
- a daily live culture probiotic. 70% of pur immune system is in our gut, so we just boost it w proper pH balance.
Taking Empson baths daily upon symptoms, made the difference in an ob lasting a week and a half, vs 2-3days.
Liquor is a huge trigger to me.. Lots of it and out late that is . wine and beer doesn't do it to me. All my recurrents are just one and two bumps at most, so relax. :-)
