goodmorning everyone, I have not been able to sleep all night This is really worrying me, Im not sure if meno or not. I took a melatonin the night before and I did sleep some but I still didnt feel rested so I thought I would try falling asleep on my own tonight being that normally I would be so tired after the busy day I had at work today. I dont know how much more my body can go on no sleep! people keep telling me I look tired so I try to keep to myself and Im not the type to be antisocial but I dont want to keep hearing the same thing all day long. God give me strength to get through this day.
I suffer from insomnia. I don’t drink any caffeine. Also try not to eat anything close to bedtime as it revs up my digestion and makes it harder to fall asleep. I didn’t fall asleep until after 4 am this morning. I will probably drink chamomile tea tonight well before bedtime.
I contribute most of mine to just how I am. But I think that menopause is a factor. I am almost 2 years post menopause.
No caffeine, no sugar and make sure your last meal is at least 4 hours before sleep time is my advice. Also a hot shower works to relax me and helps sometimes with falling asleep. Also a really cool room is helpful. I live in FL and I set the night time tempt to 68 which is very cool for us. Cooler temp also helps my pup sleep through the night. ![]()
Another issue for me is once I fall asleep, no matter how soundly, once I awaken it is hard for me to fall back asleep.
