Slight digestive problem after colonoscopy, can someone relate to this?

Hello everyone. Some 40 days ago I had a colonoscopy performed due to change in bowel habits which lasted for 6-7 months. Thankfully everything went fine and doctor even said that my colon was really perfect except for the one hemorrhoid found. I was so scared of perforation or some similar complication because I've read many horror stories on the internet. But luckily it all went well (except for the slight abdominal discomfort which subsided about 2 hours after colonoscopy finished), and my stool came back to normal as soon as the day after which really surprised me. However, one symptom remained to this day. I used to love spicy foods very much but now every time I eat it, it upsets my stomach a little bit which never happened before colonoscopy. It's not intense pain, actually it's more like a discomfort some 10-15 minutes before having a bowel movement. Apparently it only happens after I eat something spicy or cherries. Despite the discomfort, stool is normally formed, just maybe little bit looser than normal but it's far from watery like in a diarrhea. Will it ever go back to normal? Should I be concerned? Has anyone else experienced this or something similar? Any suggestion is welcome

Thank you

Either your colonoscopy disturbed something or it is nothing to do with it at all.  It may be a symptom related to your change in bowel habits.  Change of bowel habit along with addominal discomfort/pain that moves about, could point to IBS especially with food intolerance as well. What did your gastro doctor say?  Did he mention the possibility of IBS?

Go back to your doctor for further advice.

Just stop eating spicy foods for a while and see what happens. Good luck.
