a week or two ago i noticed the edge of my penis head/ glans was a little more red than usual in one little spot on the right side. I masturbate sometimes twice a day (typical 20yr old) and had intercourse a few days prior before really noticing it. i have cast it aside as a rash from too much friction and took a break (for the most part) from masturbating and intercourse. i have also been applying hydrocortisone twice daily since noticing (as recommended from various online forums and websites). i am going on my second week since noticing and have not seen much improvement. i tend to be a hypochondriac when it comes to stuff like this and all the STD research I’ve done, this does not match any symptoms. Balanitis is something I came across during my research and i think that might be what I am dealing with? Or just a simple rash that needs more time to heal? I have a dermatologist appointment in a few weeks and I’d rather solve this on my own to spare some embarrassment. please help!? I am not sure how to upload a photo but will once i figure it out
i also would like to note that i am circumcised and i have seen that balanitis is nit as common for circumcised men i am also very hygienic, maybe even too hygienic. so that could be a cause?
