I am pre op and wondering if anybody else has a numb/funny feeling foot on bad hip side. I had cellulitis that require hospitalisation 3 years agao so it has never been right. Do I need to worry?

Hi Tracey,
The bottom of my foot would go numb periodically and always during exercise. Since the hip surgery, two weeks ago, the majority of the numbness has gone away.
Hi Tracey, I have nerve damage to my foot which is a result from sciatica in 2008. I have slight drop foot as a result of this. Was worried about op in case it made it worse. I am 5 weeks post op and am walking much better as hip is so improved am able to lift foot easier. Am no expert, but would not worry at all. The whole experience has been so positive. Good luck
Hi Tracy, I also had a funny feeling in my heel especially in the mornings, I cannot quite describe it, but both feet were effected. Anyway the point I wanted to make was although it was like it quite a while 8 months down the line it is gone, so it must be something to do with the heeling process.
foot really puffy today think it might be lack of mobility at present seeing gp about something else in the week so might mention to him but think it not a major issue. Thanks for replies
