Small, flat, raised shiny bump on glans for two months

There's this small, flat, raised shiny bump on my glans for two months and it hasn't gone away. Doesn't itch, ache or seem to be growing or spreading. Looks slightly darker/purple than the other skin area. Not had sexual contact for two years. Embarrassed to see my regular doctor about it, so hoping to find some answers here.

Thanks for posting here, it's a good way to start the process of being interested in the health of your penis, and you should be. I'm going to encourage you to see your Dr on this one. As I've stated before, don't let embarrassment keep you from your health. It's the only penis you have, take good care of it. Please see my own journey through something similar in my posting about Glans Penis Biopsy, and the update.

It may be nothing to be concerned about, but what I know for certain is that most things simply go away or get better on their own. Have it checked out, your Dr should treat you with respect and knows that you feel uneasy being there. Let us know what you find out, it helps other guys have the courage to do the same...

It's probably nothing to worry about, but I'd get it checked out if I were you.  You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.

As I often point out here, women have to lie on their backs with their legs in the air on a regular basis, while a stranger looks inside them with a speculum and flashlight, so we men have it easy.  There are way too many men who won't see a doctor till they absolutely have to, and it's something we need to change.

If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated.  Good luck.

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor.

Thanks for the advice! How did the biopsy go? Hope it's nothing serious.

Really appreciate your prompt reply and the links to jorock's pics. Shall update this thread when I see a doctor. Thanks.

Thanks, I should find out next week the Biopsy results. I'll post the results and the treatment plan if there is one.

Major Typo in my post...I meant to say... most things DONT go away on their own....

Did anybody figure out what this was?  I have the same exact issue and no doctor can tell me what it is!
