Small red mark on face - Possible Keratosis

I have a small red mark near the hairline. It sometimes itches. it is flat.

I wonder if this is a small solar keratosis. I am of the age when these can appear.

If it is, is there a simple 'home brew' treatment that might solve the problem?

Thanks

Best to see a deem. He can take a sample of skin and identify diagnose & prescribe treatment.

hope4cure is right. Far better to get a biopsy done first as a small flat red patch which itches could be lots of different things. You need the treatment which will fit the problem.    If you are in UK let your GP decide, and you can be referred to a dermatologist from him/her.

The mark is very small at present.

I will wait and see if the problem resolves.

The itching is on an occasional basis.

I believe that it is far too  early to seek medical advice

If you have it more than a month then its time to seek an opinion. Dont try any sort of "home brew".

At the moment it is insignificant. You would not even notice it. It has been apparent to me for much less than a month.

Most of the time, acne marks and dark marks that you get from skin wounds will go away on their own. However, for some people, it can take somewhere from six months to many years for them to improve completely. You should contact with skin specialist for solve the problem.

I believe that the marks are due to sun damage.

It is far too early to consult a doctor, they may well resolve.
