Small skin coloured bumps on back of hands

Hi there,

I'm 35 and for quite a while now I have very small, skin coloured, almost flat bumps on the backs of both my hands and I have now noticed them elsewhere on my body, mostly on my arms. They are not itchy or irritating in any way and are barely visible but sometimes when the light hits, they become very visible and it can be quite embarrassing. When I run my hand over them, I can feel them. Any ideas what they could be??
