Since last Friday i have been unwell, i went to the doctors and they said i had urinary tract inflammation (Caused me to have severe pain when weeing which made me cry). i have finished my antibiotics but a few days ago i noticed i had a small sore come up on the side of my vagina and now another one underneath it. it doesn’t hurt when i wee only when i wipe. i have now got a small sore just underneath the opening of my vagina.
i’m not sure if this is from where i was unwell and my skin just got irritated which caused it to sore. i’ve been with my boyfriend for 6 months and have unprotected sex but he told me he doesn’t have any STI’s. i am hoping its from where i’ve been unwell and my skins just been irritated.

It's hard to tell visually. If you get another sore, try to get in to a clinic within the first two days to have a culture done. The sooner the more accurate the results.
Do you get cold sores?
no i dont its literally only come up since ive had that inflammation and ive come on my period it could be irritated because of my pad? it just looks red and the top one is sore it looks worse on the photo
your story is similar to how i was first diagnosed with genital herpes. I thought it was a UTI and i had a slight one so doctor gave me antibiotics. A few days after i started to develop very painful sores similar looking to yours. I had to wee with a sports bottle as the acid in my urine against the sores was agony.
I knew what i was going through was not normal. I went to my local sexual health clinic who done a culture test which i got a positive result within a week for hsv2 herpes.
I am still with my partner now who i was with when i was first diagnosed 2 yrs ago. At the time i had been with him for 5 years and it caused a lot of arguments he even split with me as he thought i had cheated and vice versa. Then i spoke to my doctor and did my own research and was told you can have the virus in your body for many years before symptoms show and some people who no symptoms ever. If this is herpes then youll be fine, i thought i had a death sentence (extreme i know) but in two years ive had about five outbreaks but the antivirals really help and it wasnt as bad as the first outbreak.
You can get a blood test, which will determine if you have the HSV1 or 2 virus.

It could very well be irritation. Just a warning, doctors will not know what it is visually. Have them perform a test.
How many days had you had the sore when you had a culture done?
I feel so embarrassed i just wanna cry, my boyfriend had a cold sore or something on his lip a month or so ago could it be from that? ive never had anything before i dont even know what to say. it doesn't hurt when i wee now ive finished my antibiotics it just hurts when i wipe.
whats the difference between them?
I dont know what i have:(. The doc saying its candida but dont seems candida...
HSV1 is typically on the mouth, where as HSV2 typically is genital.
HOWEVER, you can transfer HSV1 from the mouth to the genitals. Just wash your hands after touching it.
Were you sexually active when he had the cold sore? Was there sore to skin (genital) contact?
Also, don't be embarrassed! Herpes is VERY common! It is manageable with medication. Its just a sore, wont cause death! :)
Doctors have no idea what they are doing. That's my opinion, but seeing 3 different doctors and having them all with their own opinions gets annoying.
Never rely on a visual inspection. Always have some sort of test performed.
please dont feel embarrassed. 85% of the world has some form of herpes they just dont know it. its super common and for some stupid reason theres a stigma behind it. Best thing to do is to get a test to confirm herpes or not. If it happens to be herpes you may feel upset etc but just remember how common it is and it does not mean youre dirty. I have only been with two partners and have the virus, im just one of those people who has symptoms of the virus sometimes. The medication is great it really helps and ive lead a normal life, even had a baby too!
did your partner perform oral sex on you with the cold sore or just before or after the cold sore? if yes, than if it is herpes, than thats probably how you caught it.
im not sure i cant remember if he did but he more than likely did! He said it wasn't a cold sore (it was in the corner of his lips and it all cracked from dry skin apparently). I wouldn't of got it from anywhere else i have only been with him and one other person but that was years ago and he was protected. What things can you do to get rid of it?
