Small wound seems to have stopped healing - can anything be done?

Hi all,

I had a small but deep wound on my foot. It seemed to start healing very well but now seems to have just stopped where it is at. I upload two pictures. One is of it one day after and you can see it already started healing. The second one is of it around 5-6 weeks later and you can see it is mostly healed but the last layer of skin seems to have stopped healing.

Is there anything I can do to help with the final part of healing? Is it worth seeing if a GP can do anything for it? It's not painful at all, would just be nice to see it fully healed.

Are you saying that the picture on the left is how it is today?  It looks as though it has healed & you probably need to put some cream on it, just ordinary moisturiser, like Nivea or similar.

Yes. But it looks like another layer of skin should heal over the top of it? Or will that not happen? Thanks anyway, will use some cream.

The white skin around the edge will eventually just drop off, so you will no longer see it.  Creaming your feet after your shower will help them anyway.
