Over the last 5 years I've had two blackouts (the last 2 years ago) specialists seem to have taken my heart out of the equasion and for a year or more I've been pretty much symptom free. If I throw myself back on the bed on the right side I can create a little dizinees and vision distortion/spinning room, also I suffer a little from top shelf syndrome, but very mildly, however, a couple of weeks ago I had a touch of food poisoning, as I recovered I was sat watching tv when suddenly I started hallucinating, it seemed as though hundreds of pictures were flashing before my eyes, like a very fast slide show, I felt really bad a headache I was very sick and pouring sweat and went very pale, quite frightening really. I thought that because of the food poisoning it might have been down to severe dehydration so rehydrated and after a couple of days got back to normal, I have since had several further incidents, although less severe, but they are very debillitating and can appear at almost any time, (I'm dreading going to my son's wedding later today). Does anyone else recognise these symptoms please, I really need to be able to narrow down these symptoms in order to explain to my doctor, I'm sorry this post is so long and. ague but I have very little to go on. Any advice very welcome ... Roger
sorry that should have been vague not ague !
Was you standing when you blackout it could be your blood pressure dropped to much. Have you had your blood pressure checked
Thanks Victoria, I was asleep on both occasions, I'm on b/p medication and it's well managed, I have it checked regularly and my doctor is happy with it.
My blood pressure is OK but I was just sitting when I blackout out it was my blood pressure dropped to much what cause me to blackout
Sorry to hear that Victoria, I hope things are better now. I'm more converned with my recent diziness, hot sweats and hallucinations, I've no idea what's causing it, Labrynthitis has been mentioned but I really don't know ...
Do you have the spinning sensation I have trouble with my balance to the Left the ENT said I've got a weak balance system in my left ear I feel dizzy like the walls and floor is moving I feel like I'm walking on a trampoline. I do not have the spinning sensation
Hi Roger,
I have had a similar experience and after blacking out twice I was admitted to the hospital. It turns out I have spondalosys if the neck that caused the blackout. I also have had BPPV for 4 years now with intermittent issues surrounding that.
