Well I had myself all psyched up for my LTHR today and it was cancelled yesterday it's now next tHursday which I know isn't long but this is the third time it's been knocked back and it's getting me down now as the pain is getting worse all the time x
Oh no thats awful..Im waiting for a date for mine. I would be devastated if that happened. Its awful waiting especially when your in pain. I hope everything is ok for next Thursday and keep us updated on how everything goes for you. Im sure you will be fine when its all over and done with. xx

Oh That is awful......I was knocked back 4 times but that was only for a DEXA scan {osteoporosis} and I felt awful
I've had 2 THR's and thank goodness they were done on the day the surgeon said they would be
It would have been dreadful if they had been cancelled

Sorry to hear your THR has been cancelled yet again. Its awful when you have made arrangements with family etc, one cancellation is bad enough but three!! I hope all goes ahead next Thursday and wish you the best of luck.
Oh what a bummer, judiwoo. Hope it all goes well next week. I am waiting for a hip revision and it has been put back 6 or 7 weeks as I need dental work. And that's before I have even been given a date for the op. Do you think psyching yourself up and getting all ready and then not going in makes the pain worse, muscles tensed up and all that? maybe you need to give yourself a treat - all in the interests of medicinal needs of course!

The surgeon is taking out a metal on metal, and putting in ceramic/ceramic. The m-o-m is a Corail Pinnacle. No idea what the new one will be. I just got a letter with op date - 26th August. But that will only be 5 weeks after a tooth extraction and they say it should be 6 weeks, so will be phoning the orthopaedic department tomorrow.

me too..dates all run together... But we know judiwoo hasn't... I am with u on this one too, we r here to help her thru every step of the way. We have all been thru this rodeo..thankfully THR can give many a better quality of life.
