So Fed Up...

I have just turned 50 and I feel about 70.... I have had menopause symptoms for the last five years but this last year it has really ramped up in making my life actually a misery. I have had big problems with my digestive system, anxiety, night sweats, joint pains, hair thinning, brain fog and have been on HRT for the last 18 months. I would say the only thing HRT has done is eased the night sweats. I have gone from upper GI issues to my rear end and pelvis in constant dull pain. I have had tests but nothing sinister has been found thank goodness but no real answers either. It is uncomfortable to sit down and I live with a dull ache. I have been sorting out my diet, losing weight at a snail pace, eating more fibre, I exercise with walking and. pilates. I don't drink that much alcohol only on a socially. Just seeing if any of you are experiencing these really irritating symptoms and what has helped you. I just hope there is a light at the end of the Meno Tunnel as it is one miserable thing to go through...

Hi

I also turned 50 recently and life is challenging. I am perimenopausal and my symptoms vary. Bloating, constipation, frequent urination, palpitations, debilitating hot flashes, anxiety, weight loss are some of my issues. I think my doctor is tired of seeing me. I am just taking one day at a time and hoping that these feelings will pass. Hang in there - I keep hearing that it will get better.

Dear Simone
I have to smile about the part where you say your doctor is tired of seeing you… Lol… Im the same too. Every week its a new alarming symptoms which brings me to visit my doctor. Yes this menopause has made me miserable with very bad anxiety and 100s of other symptoms. I look forward to the few days that I am symptoms free. Its made me appreciate the days were i wake and not have to think about menopause as i feel such a different person without. perimenopause symptoms

Thanks for your replies and I know we are all in this together. Its just so debilitating and like you both say my doctor must be he sick of the sight of me! Thankfully my female doctor is understanding. However when I have some friends that felt a little hot for a few months and then their periods stopped and that was it, I can feel nothing but envy!
