:D I have suffered with agonizing pain since i was 14 with endometriosis, i am now 38 and last october i came off the pill having suffered really bad migranes. My periods went all over the shop. I even went 82 days and did 3 pregnacy tests. The pain got unbearable i was dropping to the floor and screaming i couldn't go on any longer. My doctor refered me and when i went to see my gyny on 5th march he offered me a mirena coil. I was a bit scepticle at first but every question i fired at him, he had an answer to which reasured me. I had it put in there and then, no pain killer and yes it hurt a bit, but not as much as i thought it would. I bled very little for a few days and had belly ache like i'd been kicked in the stomach but then nothing. I have just had the time i should have my period and all i'm using is a panty sheild, there isn't even enough for a tampax. Also i feel free cos i have very little pain unlike usual when i can't get out of bed. I have my 6 weeks check soon so i'll let you no how it all goes. Fingers crossed this is the answer to my prayers.

I've had this just fitted today, and i yes it does hurt putting it on, but having suffered from endometriosis for years, i hope this will be it for me.
Jan how r u feeling 5 days on? My stomach still hurts a bit tonight but it's nothing unbearable.
They said it could be a few days for the pain to go. I do hope this works and will stay positive about it.
Hi Allie i was still in a bit of pain after a few weeks but it was just like a dull ache. I just had a period if you can call it that and after years and years of unbearable pain it was like a drop in the ocean. I am still spotting though, hoping that will clear up. A friend of mine had hers fitted november last year and she only had one period and she has been clear since with no pain. I'm only nearly 5 weeks so we shall see. Also i could only exercise every now and then cause i was in so much pain but now i can do it every day if i want. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
