Well today i finally managed to lift my leg from lying on my bed,i had been so wound up about not being able to do it, i was so pleased with myself i could of cried..i was getting worried that at 3 weeks i still couldnt do it,so another milestone reached...
Lots of food news up and down the line today. Just shows, Mondays are good for something.
Should be good news....damned auto correct out thinking me again
Well done Lou, these little milestones really do pick us up don't they?!
Oh and at 3 weeks, wow! It took WAY longer than that for me, so well done!
Great news - each week will bring a small step forward, with a few stumbles perhaps, I went downstairs almost normally yesterday - but going up was the best feeling in the world - or was it when I managed a full turn of the exercise bike pedal? We must celebrate these things as well as acknolwedging that some days are a complete ...Try not to worry as tension doesnt help anything - as you have seen today - the 'leg' will do what it is ready to do and we can help it but not force it.
I was the same Lou - took me 3 weeks too and that first inch off the bed was wonderful! All forward from here.
That's great news, Lou. Well done.
It's such a difficult thing to do, and only those of us who've had the operation can appreciate that.
Keep up the good work.
Patsy

Aw well done ! I remember the first time I lifted my leg too. Was so hard and painful to do I'm 9 week now and these milestones keep happening where you feel you have turned another corner . It does make you feel good when you achieve something you have worked so hard for. Keep up the good work xx
TKR folk have a lot of pain and difficulty to get through in he early days so it's great that we can feel so good about things that would seem very small to others! I'm at almost 8 weeks and can truly say that I am still noticing small improvements and achievements every few days. A few days ago I found out I could go down steps normally (with care) instead of one at a time and that was great - just happened all by itself with no special exercises.
