so i stopped bisoprolol after 1 week.

hi guys started bisoprolol on a tuesday and ended it for good on a monday...started with 2.5 mg and then 1.25 mg for 5 days and finally .625 on last day and was told to start verapamil.....on the next day however....

my heart kept jumping UP AND UP...felt so tired i couldnt come out of bed for 4 days...on my fifth day i could come out of my bed but my heart rate is 100-180....

today is 6th day and my heart rate is still 100-160 the weakness is less

dear people listen to me this is one hell of a drug........do not take it lightly,,your doctors will tell you there is no sideffects but this is not true.......thousands of people suffer with bisoprolol withdrawal.....

Stayed on this for 3 months worse time of my life a lot of days didn't know if I would make it also tried Metropol just as bad dr just put me on bystolic dropped blood pressure to normal and no side effects really recommend

i have figured out why a withdrawal leads to a jump in heart rate....the parasympathetic nervous system has relaxed itself during the time we poisoned ourselves with bisoprolol....imagine you have a sherrif (the parasymphatetic nervous system) sheriff who is responsible for keeping down the crime (heart rate) in his county, but because of an external factor from outside the county for example another vigilante like batman (bisoprolol) comes in town to handle all the crime, the sheriff takes a back seat watches tv and is too lazy to handle crime. now batman moves to another city (bisoprolol withdrawal) and when the criminals return (sympathetic nervous system excited) with full force because the town was once so safe that more and more rich people settled there ( more production of adrenaline), what you get is an increase in crime (heart rate) a lazy sheriff (parasymphateic nervous system). how long will it take for the sheriff to get back in reducing crime (heart rate)??????

I’m hearing so much negative around Bisoprolol. I’m finally changing to a new beta blocker today Nebliet after 12 months. No one would believe me that Bisoprolol was messing with me 😑

my doctor told me to do the same but i refused to take it because...i had only been been on bisoprolol for one week now he wants me to go on nebivolol that means the withdrawal effect would last even more longer....so i decided not to listen....

I was told to just stop Biso 5 days before having an ablation..   EP specialist said it was just fine to do that.  WELL, it is not fine.

I went through such withdrawals.   I had been on it for 3 months prior.

I had such anxiety.  My legs jerked, shaked and jittered, I could hardly walk..  It got so bad, that I was then put on a benzo.  for anxiety  That is another story.  Had another ablation bu had to wean off the benzo in order for that to happen.  Took me 10 months to come off benzo, and am 3 months post and still going through hell with withdrawals

i am on a benzo to help me on the bisoprolol withdrawal.....its been one week and i am finally seeing 60s in heart rate after stopping bisoprolol. however  i get tired easily at work especially after climbing stairs....

hopefully it all ends soon..........learnt another story today....met someone in the clinic where they fix holter monitors.....

a guy told me that his doc told him to stop bisoprolol after 3 years of being on it....he agreed and after 2 days his heart rate was at 180's.....

however the doctor dissmissed it as a bisoprolol withdrawal.....WHY WHY WHY DO DOCS DONT ACKNOWLEDGE THIS?

They have no clue.   I went through hell coming off Klonopin and Trazodone. Now I realize how that it was withdrawals too stopping the biso.   I would rather have tachy than feel the way I did on Biso while taking it, and then in withdrawal

Please be careful with that benzo.......

finally after 9 days i m feeling better....people looking for answers it has been 9 days that i am getting better being bisoprolol free only after 6 days on it...i think its not how long you hv taken biso that matters but its how long it takes for the autonomic nervous system to get back to pre bisoprolol levels after the bisoprolol is totslly out of your body.

thsnks

What benzo are you on, and what dosage?

I did the same thing. Went on a benzo after the biso.   Please please be careful with that.  It has been hell coming off the benzo

it was alprazolam 0 .5mg first 4 days but i changed it to valium 5 mg these past few days...is this a big dose?

short term benzo up to 2 weeks is not a problem.   But the body soon becomes addicted to it,  I was on low dose  (.is there really a low dose of this crap?)

And weaning off is nothing more than a nightmare,n and continues after weaning has been completed

Can I ask why you are taking the benzo?

i was on benzo before the bisoprolol....for anxiety on and off...the body got used to it...but because of that, any sort of discomfort in your body then causes palpitations which is why i agreed to take bisoprolol (given to me 6 months ago for blood pressure) overall today i have no more bisoprolol withdrawal.....its just amazinggg.....not been taking any benzo either....no more drugs for me.....oh except for verapramil. thanks

Just wondering how long did you have withdrawals with the biso,   and also how long did you have withdrawals with the benzo. ( I was on Clonezepam)

hi i was in Bisoprolol just two months I was taking 10 mg ,Because my blood pressure is a little high, and it was the worst day of my life. I became like an old man. My body shivering, cold feet, dizziness, dizziness and ringing in the ears. I stopped taking it only after two months of using it. Loss of energy most of the time, foggy head and dizziness sometimes I feel better, but the adrenaline in our bodies is rushing with force. I give up and I have no solution but to take vitamins. I do not want to be negative, but I am afraid that it will not come out of my body. I am 39 years old, I admit that the tinnitus with time has improved, I just feel With a band in the ear, but ringing in the ears. Note: Do not ask the doctor, because it will worsen your condition. Do not use any medication. Pregnancy and time will end this despicable drug that caused me anxiety and incomprehensible fear.
