Hello, I had my gallbladder removed in June 2016 and I noticed today that I have a soft lump the size of a quarter right above the incision scar on my upper abdomen. It pops like a pocket of air when you touch it. It hadn't caused any pain as of yet. Does anyone know what this might be. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi stanley1966
It could be fibrous scar tissue under the skin at the site of the incision. This is common after surgery, but if you are anxious about it check with your doc.....best wishes...
I agree with the other poster but it might get infected so watch it and if you see redness or agitation then see your doctor. If you're still concerned do see the doctor. It might calm your worries.
