hi. i have been losing my mind after this the past couple of weeks over this. but ive included two pictures of the lump that i am really concered about. does this look like a prolapse to anyone? the clearer picture it isnt a big and before the second pic was taken. the extreme redness was an allergic reaction to a strong steriod cream i was given which has started to calm down. i have an appointment with my gynae in a couple of weeks but i cant stop thinking about it. my go had a look and didnt seem to worried about anything and said it didnt look like a prolapse but i keeo worrying myself over it
Hi,
Only your gynae can really tell you if it is a prolapse or not.
If it’s a recent thing then it might be at an early stage and could be reversed by pelvic floor exercises. A lot depends on your age too. Is it causing discomfort?
Please try not to worry. I almost made myself I’ll with worrying about my prolapse and it doesn’t help.
hi, have you been lifting lots of weights? what job do you do..is it something physical? you have you may have strained yourself ?
do you do pelvic floor exercises? most women your age don’t until they have had children but if you have put undue pressure on your pelvic floor, it might be worth trying to do some. 10 reps three times a day. (imagine you’re tightening up your belt on your jeans and suck in your tummy, hold it for 10 seconds then relax and repeat. ) also, avoid getting constipated as straining frequently also damages the muscles in your pelvic floor.
I’d be very surprised if it’s a prolapse since yiu have not had children.
usually a prolapse happens after childbirth and after menopause when our estrogen is very low.
if you strain to open bowels or wee and even lift heavy weights it could be the start of one but I’d be very surprised if it is.
only and exam will rule out for sure .. try calling your gp to see when they will see you do this covid times.
good
