Someone please help me!

I am 19 years old. I had my gallbladder removed March 7 2018. One month ago. It was a larascopic surgery and it was 30 minutes . I wasn't waking up till 4 hours later. My body was very stressed out and when I woke up I was NOT having a panic attack but my heart rate went to 170. I thought I was dying I was scared trying to relax but my heart was beating so fast I didnt know what to do..and I was just laying there. They wouldn't let me leave with a heart rate that rapid. They injected two doses of medication to make my heart slow down to "break" the rapid pulse. And after the second dose it did so I went home. Recovering was horrible. I can't eat certain foods . If I eat a high fatty food or even let my stomach get full my pulse goes to 170. I dont know what this is...but it's a real feeling not all in my head . I saw a cardiologist they said it was sinus tachycardia . Something to watch for right now. It's insane .... And I don't know why my heart will race especially after eating a meal I feel so alone and am losing my peice of mind !!

Sarah so very sorry to hear about this keep going back to your doctor there's got to be something they can do must be very scary for you .Had you ever had any probs before with your heart .💐

Hi Sarah, I didn't have anything like that, my surgery was on the painful side tho, they had to give me morphine when I woke up. I wasn't able to bend for 8 days, my husband had to help me put my socks on , I was in so much pain when I woke up, I watched laproscopic surgery on YouTube, wow. It's no wonder why I was sore, mine took an hour .

4 hours is a very long time to be asleep after this procedure.

Regarding your heart are you on medication called Bisoprolol?

This should lower your heart rate but you can only get it on prescription so you will have to talk to a doctor about it.

Hope this helps

Another Sarah!

I've never heard of that, have you done any research on it? Maybe you should get a second opinion
