Something I would like to add to this thread.

For those of you with re flux and some of the stomach issues, I had to stop drinking tap water and the chlorine caused me to have re flux. I was sensitive to it. So always drink filtered water, get a good filtered water thing for your kitchen and use it for all your water. If you heat the water to boiling it should be ok then as it helps the chlorine dissipate some. This tip may help some of you will acid re flux. It will tear my stomach up big time. Another way for it to dissipate it to let the water sit in the open air for a day or so, or to boil it, but the best thing is good filtered water.

I use mineral water in my coffee machine and have a filter kettle. I rarely drink tap water except for swallowing painkillers. Drinking this water occasionally doesn’t affect my reflux in any way. For me, spicy foods are the cause and also if they are fatty. I have a weak oesophageal sphincter. Luckily, I’m not sensitive to chemicals n water.

Why would anyone drink filthy tap water. Never drink it. Has a lot of bacteria and other little organisms in it. I’m happy you stopped.

Most city water is clean and fine to drink, if the chlorine doesn’t bother you, I am just sensitive to alot of stuff. But I prefer the taste of filtered water as well. Reg water has alot of minerals that we need. There is nothing wrong with tap water as long as you live in a place that cleans it right and sanitizes it properly. I figured out I was bothered by the chlorine by trail and error. Thought it may help some others that find they have the same sensitivity.
