Yes there is a cream: things like a little Germolene are good - but could be something as everyday skin lotions, water based lube - the best is a steroidal ointment (If you live in the UK you need a GP prescription for these.
It is best if you do a little research online for stretching techniques. There are two sites I would suggest:-
"A Phimosis Journey" and the "Guide to Treating Phimosis" section is good - ALSO
check "wiki How" and "3 ways to do phimosis stretching" section is getting at the essentials of stretching.
I would suggest looking at a few sites and picking out a range of 2 or 3 exercises that work best for you.
The ESSENTIAL is you do these gently to start with, then build up the regularity and amount of time you do these, then after 3 or 4 months start to use more force.
The 2 basic exercises I do are:- (AGAIN, you need to do gently to start with!)
i.) Draw the foreskin forward from the head of the penis as comfortably as it will go. Do this every other day, 2 minutes to start with - after several weeks of having no problems with this add another minute, after a few months you can make the whole routine (different exercises) last 20 to 30 minutes.
ii.) START THIS ONE VERY GENTLY - pull the skin down the shaft of the penis towards the body until you just start to feel pain, and ease the force to enable the skin to fully retract. I would do this for a minute at first. Once you are comfortable with using this as part of your penile excercise regime, you can very carefully start to use more force and add more minutes on AFTER 2 to 3 months of not having had any injuries or anything adverse happening.
*For others reading this, I have had to do these kinds of exercises because of Lichen Sclerosus. I use several stretch techniques on usually a daily basis as part of my routine of using a steroidal cream. I do get injuries because my sclerosus.
** For ANYONE doing any form of excercise to alleviate a foreskin condition who experiences any form of injury you need to give the skin of your penis at least 1, if not 2 or 3 weeks to recover. For severe injuries due to stretching the foreskin, I have regularly had to give myself a 2 or 3 MONTH 'excercise holiday'. Obviously, the worst scenario is for those who use excessive / severe force is that you can rupture or tare the foreskin, if you do this a trip to A&E is necessary to have it stitched back together! So never combine exercises with taking alcohol!
If you do foreskin stretching exercises regularly and safely, you will begin to see progress after 3 to 6 months. You need to find the ones that work for you, do these regularly, and develop the sense of knowing how much force to apply.
Good Luck W.D.
