Can anyone help me. For the last couple of years after a spinal op I have been waking up like coming out of weird dreams in a fog and am very upset and depressed. I take mirtaz and diaz at night. Psych just keeps fhrowing different ssris at me but they make me feel worse. Hubby has to soothe me till i wake properly but then feel down and anxious and unmotivated all day. Feel better by late afternoon. Dont know whats wrong with me but some of the crazy things in my head on waking i think may be coming from the meds. Anyone out there have these occurrences daily? Dr has tried sssris augmented with seroquel which didnt help.

I have a conjenital disorder that affects my spine and other parts of my body. Over the years we have made changes in the way of our bedoom and access to the house. That helps me get aound and sleep at night, if you are not sleeping well it may becaused by the spine and the way you are sleeping, it may be so base as the need for a new mattress. If the mattress is around eight to ten years old it may be an idea to change it.
An AD medication Amytryptalene, a small dose around 5-10mg before sleep may help, it may calm your sleep patern, there are other same type drugs that have the same effect, they also act part as a Neurological pain killer, if you have problems with nerve or tendon pain
