Can anyone please tell me if they experience armpit pain? They feel swollen but are not as far as I can tell & feel. This symptom is new to me and was just wondering if anyone else feels this.
as in fibro yes under the arm and across the chest including the bust sore i am so sore cant wear a bra kills and you can fill lumps sometimes to iv been feeling them since i first started with symptoms over 10yrs ago i am still here so i suppose its just fibro
infact i cant think of anywhere i dont feel sore .
Yes I do but I didn't know if it was connected to fibro. For the past couple of weeks it feels like my glands are swollen and I feel burning under my armpits and prickling and tingling down my arms. I've also had some spots appear
ah hun you didnt mention the spots
could it be shingles ,spots are hard look like blisters and itch like hell and are painful the tingling in your arms is common to fibro as it is in the leg
fibro effects your nervous system so pain and symptoms are wide spread.
I don't have any spots. It seems like everyday I have something new to add to my list of symptoms
I get really nervous that sometimes this Fibro diagnosis is just something they tell you to get you out of the doctors office. I often think 'What if this is something else life threatening' If you google all the symptoms you have, it makes you quite frantic. This underarm pain has been making me quite stressed thinking it's something more sinister
Hi tows as it was Pam who started this conversation, not me, Paula. I was worried it may be shingles but I often get tingling down my arms from the pinched nerves in my cervical spine - I really do have it all x
sorry iv got mixed up with gizmo.
i think the other way hun , even if it was something more serious once your diognosed with this you just get told its due to your fibro ,like when you smoke your told every illnes is because you smoke.
so why bother getting stresed about it, by the time they looked into it you be dead anyway, and any way could you stand anymore pain ontop of this condition i no i couldnt .
i am not meaning to sound harsh but theres just no point in stressing about it , the more you stress the more the symptoms appear , so chill do some relaxation before you kill yourself with worry .
join the club hun the well and truely made on a friday club .
Hi Pam, I thing tiswas confused you with me - damn menopause lol.
seriously though it is rather worrying when you first get diagnosed. More and more symptoms appear and you start to worry other things may be wrong. I went for every test and scan before I actually accepted it was fibro/chronic fatigue. Were you diagnosed by a rheumatologist? Although the symptoms are unpleasant, it thankfully is not a life threatening illness. May I ask how old you are?
I also have IBS & Anxiety. I went for alot of scans/tests as well but I can't help but think that those tests were awhile ago & things change! I often drive myself crazy with worry I was diagnosed by a Rheumatologist about 2 years ago. I am 46 years old.
yes i was 46 when i was diognosed by rhematologist funny that coincide with the early stages of the menopause , just like i remember getting lots of pain when i started puberty in my joints and with periods i am sure its more common in women due to hormonal changes .
its only life threating if you let it take control , i control my symptoms they dont control me that is a bold statement because i am human and i to have down days , but i do my best to fight thru them
.i keep telling people to look at brain training programme on the net for these conditions to see why we have them ,and how we cause the symptoms our selves from our preastoric brains , when we understand how and why this happens to us we no how to deal with it .
So you are also at peri menopause stage where you have pre menopause symptoms to add to your fibro - I was on hrt for a while until genetics discovered I have the BRCA1gene so had my ovaries and tubes removed now I have to decide about my breasts. Anxiety an dibs again is all part of fibromyalgia. We all give each other help and support and if there is anything that seriously worries you, you can visit your GP who will send you for further scan to put your mind at rest.
i b s and anxiety are both stress you are answering you rown question
the way you think has a direct impact on your health .
how many care free stress free happy people do you know have this condition .
Yep, funny thing is I was born on a Friday so there you go :-)
see gizmo look at the stress you have had like most of us that get hit with fibro , some forms of stress you cant avoid and some people are much luckier in life than some and seem to sail thru with very little stress .
but some of us that was put together on a friday.
seem to have an over load of stress family problems ,health problems .work problems ,it dosent seem fair but who said life was fair ,
our body deals with it well but when it keeps coming like mine and i am sure most people with these conditions ,does, then our brain gets stuck on the flight and freight way of thinking producing more and more stress chemicals leaching into our bodies and making us ill .
so we defo need to cut the stress that we can .
well what more proof do you need , haha
the saying comes from car industry if you brought a new car and it was a bit of a dud ,you were said to have brought one made on a friday .
just incase your not from the uk , might not no the meaning behind it .,
i was born on a sunday by the way, sundays child full of grace ,i think not.
Yes I was wondering if the peri menopause was contributing to the armpit/breast pain as well. I am sure it's Fibro but maybe the peri menopause started it all & us poor ppl who have Fibro kick it into overdrive.
Yes I am my own worse enemy & I know this. Yet I can't help obsess & worry over new symptoms. It's a vicious circle I'm affraid
give your self a good kick up the butt ,i am not being hard honest but iv been where you are i do understand , i still have the days where i think oh god where to even bother , i am nnot perfect . but still i get up i get up everyday and everyday i try harder to be more positive but if i fail i dont beat myself up anymore i just say oh well try again tomorrow .
get some magneisum oil for the pain and some bach emergeny rescue to give you a little lift then look into other things , that what keeps me going searching the net not relying on meds always looking for the next promise of hope .
i think i might have found something that will work will try it and see ,i dont want to live on pills i want to get better and i suppose its that in me that keeps me fighting with only a few whimpers in the corner . on down days .
i could say are poor you pat you on the head so to speak but you dont want that you want to get better like most of us with this so i being tough to be kind ,i am giving you a verbal kick up the butt , get tough say this is not going to beat me , i am going to win even if you say it thru tears say it mean it ,you can do it .
Hey tide as just logged in and read your messages, you have made my day you have made me laugh so much. Poor Pam is on here for help and you are kicking her butt! Pam, I do understand what rise as is saying as we have all been through the stage you are at now where it's hard because you've been strong for years and then suddenly your life feels like it's falling apart. I've had to give up work after spending 2 yrs being driven into work by my parter for 3hr return journey sleeping in the car and sleeping all weekend. You do lose the fight in you for a while but once you accept the condition you have you then have to work with your body. When you are tired rest, when you have some energy use it carefully but don't overdo things. Yes is my answer to menopause, I do believe that it adds to our fibro symptoms as many are the same so I guess it's like getting a double dose.
