Hey everyone! I'm 4 weeks post surgery on gallbladder removal and have been great until today. Out of the blue my belly button hurts and is very sore with a bit of red around it. No fever. This is out of nowhere! Anyone have this issue? Thank you
Sometimes this happens. An incision that appears to be healing normally can become irritated. Your clothing could be rubbing against it, or something else could have happened internally. I would suggest you call your surgeon's office or you gp's office and let them know. They can let you know what to do. Better to do what you're doing, and take action sooner

Sounds like a wound infection. Did you have laparoscopy?
I'd go to GP as you may need antibiotics.

Yes, exactly! The incision has been healing nicely. Even better than the others, until a few days ago when a very red spot popped up and was suddenly very painful! It's not a deep pain...just right at the surface of the belly button incision.
