I have had a small lump at the opening of my vagina for as long as I could remember, within the past few days it has turned very painful and more into an open sore. I thought it may be an ingrown hair, then the next day another sore appeared on the other side on the inside of my vaginal lips, the sores have started to heal and go away within a day. Ive never had any problems like this before. I am having a slightly more amount of discharge than usual but no other symptoms. Is this something i should worry about and go get checked up?

its not herpes, thanks for all of your wisdom though lol wont be using this site again, thats for sure. made me extemely worried about and ingrown hair. thanks anyways!
you probably dont want to accept the fact that its herpes but seriously, stuff like that doesnt happen with an ingrown hair.

how do you know it isnt? did you get swab results or blood tests done? or even a professional to look at it?
you came on here looking for opinions and it does look like a herpes lesion regardless whether you think it does or not now.
you should worry about your health. seeking answers from a forum shouldnt be your first choice.
most people (80% of people with it) who have genital herpes have little or no symptoms. symptoms that they pass off as something else..
this is how it spreads and how most of us trying to help have gotten it. so you could have it, and never know until you get tested!
Hi. I’ve read extensively Dr Handsfields answers in another forum. He is a true expert in the STD field. One of the first things he says when looking for clues is that if a bump or lesion does not change rapidly from bump to blister to sore to scab with the full process taking 10 - 14 days, then herpes is not a major consideration. In your case and only you can answer, if the bumps stayed bumps, unchanging for a month long period and they were generally under the skin as opposed to on the skin…that is a good clue it is not herpes. Yes there is alot of misinformation from well intentioned people. When in doubt, get the opinion of a true expert. When I first read your post, I immediately discounted herpes. Also a first time infection is usually more than one bump or blister. I’m glad the news was good for you and you can move on knowing this is not herpes.
lool rude, i said herpes cause it looked like my sore. dont come to this site if you dont want to hear opinions or observations? we are a group of people with the same virus, but its okay if you dont want to accept that you have herpes !!! good luck with it !
