Hoping someone can offer advice as currently i am stuck in limbo while waiting for swabs to come back.
On Saturday into Sunday I noticed after some constipation earlier in the week on the Thursday/Friday that it was sore when passing a stool and there was a tiny speck of pink blood on the toilet paper. I assumed this was because of the straining and that I might have had a little tear by my bum. After having sex with my boyfriend during the day, the pain was worse and I noticed i felt very very sore and bruised in my front area now too. I just put this down to getting a small bit rough.
However, Sunday night, I was very uncomfortable - the skin between my bum crack was very sore and itchy and my vaginal area was feeling very bruised and itchy too. Both very irritated. It got to the point where i was in tears. I couldnt get any relief and couldnt sleep. My boyfriend had a look between my cheeks for me and said it looked like there were lots of tiny cuts or grazes up my bum crack. This discomfort and pain got way worse on Monday and after trying Sudocrem, Anusol Ointment (apologise for the poor spelling of the brand) & Vagisil, it was so bad I had to go to the local walk in centre.
The nurse diagnosed me with a fungal infection that was spreading from my bum crack to the vaginal area, which is why i was feeling irritation and discomfort in both. She perscribed me a cream beginning with C. But 24 hours later i still got no relief so on Tuesday i had to go to the GP for a second opinion as I was in so much pain.
The GP said she suspected it to be Herpes & has taken two swabs which i am waiting for the results to come back to see if it is. She gave me anti viral medication and a stronger version of the medication that is in vagisil to numb the pain. Lucky two days on i have relief and the symptoms arent as bad, but still here.
I am really upset and just want to know what it is. After reading information on Genital Herpes, part of me doesnt think it is as it is like my bum is cut & I cannot see blisters of any sort personally & i have only just started getting a yellow discharge. I know only the swabs hold the answer, but while im off work and just with my thoughts i thought id see what others think.

Hi Sarah, it looks more like a yeast infection from hell. I understand your stress but stay positive. If you haven’t tried baking soda bath, it might provide you some kind of relief. Hang in there.

Gosh it was the worst thing ive experienced ever and id never wish it on anyone!
Unfortunatly i got diagonsed officially with Herpes Simplex after the tests came back
