Does anyone suffer a feeling of a sore heel in bed at night, on operated side? I'm 4 weeks post LTHR and I'm guessing it's from having to lie in same position on back. Any suggestions? Jo x
Hi I had sore heals too, i put a pillow under my legs so my feet were in it and that worked a treat I don't use it anymore x
Is it ok to do that in terms of blood circulation? Thanks Michelle. X
I was fine with it and it really helped my heals x
Thank you x
Your welcome I'm 12 weeks post op now and feel so much better, I hope you feels just as good soon x
That's great to hear and very encouraging. Take care x
Hi Joyce,
A rolled up pillow under your ankle will keep your heel off the bed.
Also, I bought a pair of sheepskin bootie type things which fastened with Velcro. I found them a real godsend in the early days. I got mine from eBay and they weren't very expensive.
Take care.

As others have said pillows under the knees/lower leg keep the heels off the bed. I put a thinner one for my feet and the heels went between the two.
Dear joycy
It happned to me also I had total hip replacment before 3 months i know the feeling but in my case the dr warned me to not use pilow under my knee .. I promice you will pass this stage soon
May God give you strength.🙏🙏🙏
Early on after LTHR my heel hurt wickedly. All it took was putting a pillow under the foot and raising th eheel up. the heel had already started toward a sore. The pillow does not have to be big just enough pillow to lift the heel up.
