Im so scare about tomorrow but pain is bad i can hardly walk.
Madla
I hope the injection helps you feel better. There's a drug called Mobic that helps with inflammation. Ask if they think that could help. Also once you get your other side done, that should help you walk better and put less strain on your operated side.
There are lots of high and low points in recovery until all is smoothed out. I remember pains in scar area later in recovery and it did dissipate. It's probably from how you are walking.
Let us know how you are getting on.
Hugs for a better recovery
Susan
Hi Madla, i have had bursitis, still flares up. My surgeon doesnt believe in injecting it as he says it will go away. If you are overweight they tell you to lose weight. Did help mine once I lost weight x
hello dear Madla,
I am so sorry to hear this, darling ... I had that diagnosis as well, right hip, trochanteric bursitis - my surgeon did not want to do the injection at that time but advised me to slow down -
At that time I just had my 2nd THR surgery -
Can you cut back on your hours ? I know that this might be hard but you have to think about Madla first -
You are taking care of other people and now it is time to take care of you .. No one else can do it for you ..
Maybe start with one day less so you have en extra day to rest ...
Try to not lift heavy things and ask for help ... i know that this is tough --- everybody is always very busy, right ..
I hope the injection will take away the pain for you and also that you will get your surgery date soon ...
Thinking of you and sending you light and love
big warm hug
Renee
P.S. And please let us know what happened today, okay ? you are not alone !!!
Hi Madia, I'm so sorry to hear that you're having pain. Hope the injection helped. I know that your job is very physical. As Renee said, any chance of reducing your hours at all?
All the best, Judith
Madla so sorry you're still having pain. I'm a year out and having issues too. I'm asking my dr to please send me in for MRI of my hip and thigh. There's something not right. I've heard injections in the bursa sac to help with bursitis is good. Not sure about tendonitis. I know my dr diagnosed me with IT band tendonitis, Rectus femoris tendonitis, quadriceps tendonitis & bursitis months ago. Still have pain and now have nerve pain and sensitivity in my thigh to boot!! But I'm going to demand a MRI. I know some of these things can be fixed. But I want to see where I am having issues. Hope all goes well for you. Hugs 🤗. Linda
I dont know what happens here.
Yes incetion helping slowly and tthank you for advice abou mobic i got it. Still limping little bit but getting slowly better. Just wish my other side will be sort out as soon as possible.
Hig Madla
Hi auntiebeani.
I got injection and did hurt but slowly helping not so much pain now. Still limping little bit but least i can walk better. Im not overweight, they are telling me to put some waight on. Im 167 cm tall and about 50 kg. To much walking in nursing home and my opsite hip is not good i probably putting to much waight now on my left hip wich was done and compensate sore one.
I hope you are doing ok
Big hug Madla💗
Dear Renee, i got the injectin and injection hurt. Slowly getting better,
still limping but i took some days off from work and did look after me.
I had physio therapy today for more streching and got more excersices do home for a more streching. My physio told me my operation should be soon because injection is not solution . Also i was told by physio not to put to much pressure on operated hip. Easy to say but hard not to do this.
Oposite hip hurting more than you try not to put pressure on sore hip.
My balance and walking is not perfect dew LLD. Renee reduce hours is really hard but least they give me little bit easy work . To many people taking days off and i live close to work im the one who usually get the call to come because someone ring sick. From now on I will staarted look after my self more . Health is more important than have a pain and hardly walk and cry with pain. Your post and others people post give me strings and get trough. I will be lost without this forum.
Thank you and big hug Madla💖
Hi Judith yes my job is very physical and sometimes most of the time very hard. The injection slowly helping least not so much pai. Reducing hour is not possible but i got little bit lighter job. I was told by boss to ask for help if I need it. Now just need second hip done and i just hope will be soon.
Injection hurt but supposed to help. I had physio therapy today and i got more strching excersice and that suposed help too.
Hug Madla💗
Dear Linda sorry to hear you are still having issues with hip.
The injection slowly helping and pain is not so bad . Still little bit hurting but is much better than few days ago. Yes demand
MRI ,ex ray also scan . Dont let them push you away. You have to be firm but nice. It is your hip and your body and you know
if something is not right. Yes some of the things can be fix.
I hope all will go ok for you and sort out asap. Let me know
how did you go and what happen. Stick to it . I hope you will feel better soon.
Big hug Madla💖
well done, girl ... it is not easy for you to say "no" is it? but for now you need to otherwise you cannot help anybody any more -
so take care of Madla first -
I hope you get a date for the surgery soon and that this injection will keep you pain free for a long time !!!
- you are such a good soul but really, take care of your self first okay ?
People love you Madla - they are there to help you ...

Dear Nadia, I'm glad you've got some lighter work. Take care of yourself, Judith
thank you Madla I did go see the pain doctor today and he agreed and having an MRI on my hip and the ultrasound, I believe, on my thigh I told him my thigh is always swollen not the whole thigh but in a certain areas so let's see what happens after I get it done. thanks again!! I will let you know how I'm doing. And you let us know as well how your doing. we're gearing up for a lot of rain here in Texas. Hugs 🤗 Linda
Hi Linda.
You had your surgery just a little after mine. I, too, had to kind of demand an MRI be done with complaints still troubling me a year and two months after surgery. My surgeon was reluctant, really dismissing my complaints, saying he doubts MRI would show anything conclusive. I stood my ground, nice but insisting more testing be done and despite a doubled fee of an$800 price tag for complaining. Yes, that's right. My surgeon got to profit on my complaints of unresolved discomfort from my groin to my knee by doubling my consultation fee when I, too, struggled with IT band issues for the full year, pinching, tightness and limitation in motion bending my leg and it just not feeling right despite all the physical therapy that I had. Up until the night before surgery I never experienced any of these things and despite my pain in needing THR, I could bend my leg well before surgery so I knew something wasn't right.
My MRI did show impingement of the cup impinging on the capsule . I got a 4 minute phone conversation explaining this to me and the only thing he could offer me was saying he's not worried about that and to get injections. Right now I'm holding off on the injections. I didn't do surgery to get injections. And I don't want another 800 bill for discussing my concerns on the MRI results. I'll see what I'll do about that later but right now I have to tend to the other side that needs to be done more urgently also.
Really curious what your MRI shows. Hope you are getting on well.
Did you have anterior or posterior appoach?
Keep us informed of the results.
I'm really curious what they find.
I hope you are staying safe in Texas through the storm.
Regards,
Susan
Also for now I'm continuing with lots of Therapy and a lot of manipulation hoping I'm one of those people that takes 2 years Instead of one😞
Hello Susanbaci from a very wet Texas!! Thank you for sharing your story. Like you i never had nerve issues prior to surgery. Yes I had pain but what I'm experiencing now.....to me, is far worst. Like you, moving my leg, bending it was no problem! Now it's so tight and bothers me to bend it! The options pain dr is offering is a phenol injection, ablation in the cutaneous nerve, or a spinal implant. I told him yesterday before i decide, I want an MRI of my hip and thigh. I told him I have swelling every day. So he agreed. I'm getting the MRI Tuesday, and a sonogram I believe on my thigh but that has not been scheduled yet. Most definitely I will post the findings. Will be in about 3 weeks. I can't believe what has been done to you with no real solutions! Man right away it's "get an injection "!! So I'm hoping these scans will reveal what is going on and then we can decide what to do, or I can decide. You're right it's up to us to let drs know how we feel! And push for further testings. I do go for "well it's common " it "yes that could be it" but never saying for sure!! Sometimes, I feel like they brush us off not wanting to address the problem cause they got other patients to fix, especially after surgeries. Hugs, Linda
Hi I had THR 13 mths ago. Had problems ever since. Have been told got Gluteal Tendonopathy caused by scar tissue attached to Glutuel tendon. Had 3 injections but no better. Had loads of scans and now they are thinking of operating again to remove the scar tissue.
Take care Linda, seen your weather on the news.....
