Hi Steff
It really is early days yet, it takes a while to recover but you will. I know it's hard and it's natural to want to be well but these tablets take time.
Try to stay with it and keep posting, it doesn't matter if you keep asking questions that is why we are here.
Take care x
I am sorry to say that that's the way your going to feel when you attempt to come off them. they are terrible tablets to get off. I am on my second attempt as I failed the first time by reducing the dosage too quickly. I think they are nasty tablets and wish I had never started on them ! Steff, I do not mean to frighten you and I do hope that you feel better soon.Sometimes the "cure" is worse than the illness. Be careful and good luck. Sometimes, we do need something to lift us out of our depression but try not to stay on them for too long. The longer you take them, the harder it is to come off. Your not alone and I do hope that I have given you the right advice. Thinking about you. Depression is a very lonely feeling but please know you are not alone, there are many of us out there. xx
The reason I started taking the tablet was because I'm afraid of feeling dizzy so I got very bad with panic and depression . They just seem to be making it worse .
Steff,
It sounds like those tablets are not right for you. if I were you, I would see another doctor for an extra opinion.Afraid of feeling dizzy ? You mean that makes you depressed and anxious? Is there any reason for you to feel that way?
I think it's the anxiety that started to make me feel like it , I let everything get to me , worry over worrying if you get me.
Xxx
Yes, anxiety is very incomfortable. I suffer with it also.Often, I lay in bed wondering if the next breath will be my last, I worry about those around me dying and being alone.I worry that I don't feel comfortable amongst people so much anymore. to be honest I never did ! I have lots of interests and none include people. Sounds sad but it is of my choosing. You make the bed and lay in it, i must. it does get out of hand at times and Cipramil has not eased it.I have taken those meds for around six years. That's why I have decided to take a new path. Hopefully one without medication. Steff, I know how alone you must feel but know that there are people out there that are ready to talk. I feel sad when I here of your pain but sharing that pain is the first step to getting well again X
Three weeks is not a long time to be on the tablet I know but I don't feel they are helping , I'm on my own a lot with my daughter being at school and my husband at work . I think I have to much time to think about stuff .It's been six months since it started and I was such a happy out going girl .
Steff,
You must never lose sight of how blessed you are to have family. If you take the time to look around there are many with much less in life. I know that it doesn't matter what's in front of you when depressed. Do you have any interests? close friends to confide in or just a sympathetic ear. it always helps to verbalise what's on your mind otherwise it all just keeps spinning around in your head. Maybe that's what's making you dizzy LOL X
Yes I understand all that , yes I went off to my sisters yesterday .I didn't go anywhere for month and now I've started to go out a bit more . I use to make things out of paper and sold them , I think the depression took over and I lost interest .
Thank you for your support . đź’•
No problem, Anytime you want to talk, Des
Hi Steff, I am so sorry you are having such a hard time, we know how difficult it can be! Don’t be sorry for asking questions...it’s what we are here for!
You might want to try taking the cital at night about 30 minutes before bed with a little food. This is what my doctor told me to do, and I didn’t have that foggy head, and funny feeling all day like some did. A friend of mine is also on cital, and her doctor also told her to do the same, and she didn’t have any of those problems either. Might be something to try. If you do give it a try, don’t double up on the meds...one in the am, then one at night. I would just take it at night instead of that days dose in the am, but some say to slowly take a few hours later over a few days until you reach the night dose. I leave that to you.
You are still early on with the meds, unfortunately, it is still going to take a while longer to work in your system. If you can, really try to stick with it. What you are going through is very normal at this time. You might feel like you are going backward some before you feel like you are moving forward. But you you should keep in touch with your doctor as well, keep them posted as to how you are doing. Also, at about 2-3 months you should be feeling good, if not then you should discuss this with your doctor, maybe the medication is not for you. What works for some, may not work for you. But keep in mind, when you go off of any of these meds, it must be done slowly, and under the doctor’s care. Then you will have to start all over with another med...and go through a lot of the same thing as you did with this one. So if you can, stick it out with cital, see if it will work first. As with all the others, it takes time to fix what was broken, and what was broken didn’t happen over night, so it will take time. Try to do things that you like to take your mind off of things, like music, or exercise, or walking, reading, something you enjoy. Try to be around your friends, and family that understand what is going on if you can. It will get better!
In the mean time, we are here for you, remember...we have either been there, or are going through things right along with you, so we understand how difficult it can be!! You can come here any time and ask your questions, or to just vent when ever you want/need to! Here is a BIG {{{HUG}}} for you...we all need those!! Good Luck Dear!! XO
