Spaced out all the time

Since I've started these (about a week ago now) I've been feeling spaced out, numbness feeling in hands, trouble sleeping, and sweating when I get warm.

I've made an appointment tomorrow with my doctor as the side-effects seem to last most of the day sometimes - is there anything the doctor can put me on?

That's how I was ghost - and as each day then week went by i became more amd more spaced out.

Maybe we are just not sited to them.

Good luck at the doctors, I hope they can give you something different. I am going back to tell them I have stopped taking them it;s a week tomorrow since I had one and already feeling better.

Now I just need the problem I went to see my gp about in the first place sorting - insomnia!

Until then, I will continue to self medicate with whatever i can get my hands on!

Thanks for the reply Melbi.

My stomach has only been sore actually just this morning - there has been some moments during the day where I got small pains but they went away pretty quickly.

My head now is sore and the spaced out feeling is still there, hopefully I'll have some answers tomorrow.

So weird this morning - feel sick (as in physically) then the feeling goes ok, then it's back, then away etc.

Lucky I have an appointment today.

I've wrote down all the side-effects I am getting (my short term memory is weird while I've been on these), so hopefully he can sort it out lol.

Wish me luck at the appointment at 4pm smile

let us know how you get on

I have to come back in the morning and get blood taken sad I hate that! lol.

The doctor put me on 20mg of Fluoxetine to ease the anxiety and stress I've been going through - also said I could just stop taking the Citalopram although I'm a bit worried about any withdrawal I might have.

Hi Ghost

For how long have you been taking citalopram? I was taking them for 6 or 7 weeks started on 10mg then went to 20mg.

The withdrawal (if you get any) isn't that bad. Especially if your body has had a tough time while taking them. Trust me the withdrawal symptoms are nothing compared to the side effects of taking them.

I hope the new tablets work better for you.

Have only been taking them for a week, this is my first day off them.

Have to go get blood taken at 10am sad Really don't like getting that done.

I'm sure you will be just fine then.

Count to 10 and blood test will be all over and done with.

Thanks Melbi smile

How are you feeling today?

Yeah! Feeling more positive again today - talk about a roller coaster of emotions

I have been chatting to someone who knows all about employment rights and he has offered to support me in meetings, letter writing etc should it become necessary.

Not that I need to (I don't think) as deep down I know they think a lot about me at my place of work but it is nice to have someone there who is willing to support you.

All the anxiety is back but today rather than try and beat it with over the counter tablets or lie in bed letting it consume me - I'm going to shower, dress and go for a nice long walk and get plenty of fresh air.

I'm going to turn this anxiety into positive energy :D

If people I know and people I chat to online like me - then I can't be all that bad - can I?

I have my faults - but don't we all? My problem is - I know my faults but find it difficult to change them.

My main one being using alcohol to relieve anxiety then while under the influence being a complete pratt and hurting the ones I love.

Is the person under the influence the real me? Or is the sober person the real me?

If I need alcohol to express my feelings be they feelings of anger, sadness, happiness - then does that suggest the real me only shows through while drinking alcohol?

Will CBT help me express my feelings without the use of alcohol?

Or do I need some other kind of therapy?

LOL bet you wish you hadn't asked now

Glad you're feeling better Melbi smile

I was recommended CBT as well but I honestly don't think I need it.

Blood test results come back on Monday so I'll update you all with any results that I get.

Did they tell you what they are testing for?

They said it was for Cholesterol, Thyroid, and Liver functions as well.

ok well good luck with the results x

Thanks again smile
