Hi I'm looking for some advice please can anxiety alone make you feel a bit kind of spacey like an invisible mist without it being derealization? As I don't have things like objects changing shape and the world still feels real to me. Any answers are more than welcome .thank you
Yes Paul, anxiety can cause a spacey feeling without it being derealization. Anxiety can cause hundreds of different symptoms and everybody experiences this differently.
when you’re anxious, your brain sends out adrenaline which can cause several different types of symptoms all of which are harmless but can feel scary.
The key is to relax your mind as much as you can. Sometimes this means people going to counseling for their anxiety, or listening to meditation’s for anxiety on YouTube, getting regular exercise and not taking life too seriously. Any symptoms related to anxiety or not harmful, and it’s always good to get a check up with your doctor if this is a new symptom.
when you say invisible mist, could you be more specific as to what that feels like or looks like? Thanks! ❤️🙂
yes it can.
Hey Paul, I've suffered from anxiety for many years and let me tell you it rears it's ugly face in many many different forms. Mine started with racing Heart and then it was like my throat was closing and then it was sever vertigo and ringing in my ears and then trouble concentrating and racing thoughts. It's a horrible thing to experience. I finally went on Cipralex just a week ago and to start it was rough but in the last day I feel better like someone has lifted a heavy for from my brain. I know meds aren't always the answer and if you can get it under control without them great but don't be afraid to lean on the meds that are out there for releif. Having your life back is worth one pill a day and it's not somthing you have to take forever, you might just need to balance out the chemicals in your brain. At least that's what I'm hoping for. Best of luck and wishes for more good days than bad.
Hi it's quite hard to explain I can see absolutely fine I pass my eye tests no problem but the best way I can explain it is like an invisible mist or an invisible pain of glass.
Thank you very much for the replies I think one of my biggest causes of anxiety us worrying about my anxiety symptoms.
P.s I've had this for about the last 6 years and it's got no better but no worse just stays at the same level.
