Hello the anesthesiologist told me today that they will me put me a spinal injection , and also a peidural like both,, that the epidural if basicly for the pain after,,,,,
how long thoes the spinal injection last after the operation.

I was up walking the same day. Operated on at 11.10ish out by 1:10pm walking by 3-4pm. 2nd day starts to wear off but other pain relief then in place such as liquid morphine and naproxen, codeine etc.
i felt nothing during op and the aneathesists were great.
I had an epidural and the feeling came back into my legs just over an hour after the operation. I also had light sedation. Everything was fine and felt no pain just a bit sore and tender which is natural. A cup of tea and toast arrived after that. Then 4 hours later they came round with paracetamol and codeine tablets, so I didn't get any pain at all. You will be fine.

I had a spinal injecttion and didnt feel a thing during the op.
No epidural afterwards but they had me up and walking and I was given pain relief by mouth
