Hi...okay..I'm going to get gross here....It is a cyst....and when you are popping it...and the blood is coming out? The blood is there because there is probably a "head" of infected puss underneath the blood. Blood usually means something is trying to come out.
I had one of these cysts in a very uncomfortable place not long time ago it was extremely painful...I put ice on it and kept at it...squeezing it...and after the all the blood was gone...I kept at it...the pain went straight to my head..made my eyes water (but the ice helped)...finally white stuff started coming out...and I squeezed it till I couldn't take it anymore....and I bought some topical (cream) antibiotic at the pharmacy and applied that. Then the next night...I kept at it again...more white stuff.
Anyway..I had to be hospitialized for my alcoholism...a couple days later...and I told them how much pain this thing was causing me and I told them what I had been doing for it...the swooshed me off to an examination room to check it out and they told me I got it all......It eventually healed...
However, if you are unable to get to the "root" and the white stuff...start with heated washclothes (to soothe and bring the head to the top)...they also sell "salve" it is black stuff that helps these things drain.....I just remembered I also was using that after the first night of popping.
If all else fails...tell the Dr. that you have this problem...they may have to surgically remove the "head".....or they will provide you with antibiotics.
Good luck...those things kill.
Hi, make an appointment with your GP just to have it checked...if it is a small harmless heamatoma...your GP can remove it easily....if it is infected you will be prescribed antibiotics...please, try not to worry about it....
To missy....snap. ...four times.I hope that you are well now also.....hugs to you both.....Deirdre xxx
Hello Chelton, Please see your GP its not worth messing with it as it could get infected. Get a proper diagnosis.
