i have had a mark on the back of my leg since around October. i had originally thought this was an ingrown hair so picked in order to get the hair out but on further inspection there was no hair. can anyone help me with what this may be.

Well it could be a cyst or a dermatofibroma which are benign but I think you should see your doctor or a dermatologist. Its not easy to tell just from your photo. Could be anything.
