Okay so I thought my period was over. About 8 or 9, maybe even 10 months ago I had very slight spotting and before that had not had a real period in about a year. Any time there was anything, it was just spotting. So I wake up yesterday and again slight spotting. But I feel crampy like I used to when I would get my period. (I am 55 btw, and I did think I was in menopause).
So, do I now have to start all over counting months to be period free for a year??
I feel for you. I, too, had spotting after 8 months! I guess the clock starts over? GYNs don't have a clue about hormones, I'm so sick of this. I also was found to have something in the uterus which they say is small but has slightly grown since 2 years ago. He now wants to biopsy it and I go to see him in a few weeks. I am only 46 but have had all the symptoms of perimenopause for years and a family history of early peri but docs always ignore me. I found one who was good and was on bios for a few years but always seemed I had to up the meds, so I've decided to take a break. I have been having lots of sadness and crying lately! Bloating is constant. I'm not sure what to do.
So sorry to you too.
Yes, start counting all over again. But don't fret, having periods keep you looking young.
Yes, ma'am...you do. I also went 10 months then it began again....and has been erratic, but is still with me. Not to freak you out but I'm 59..my family goes long and I have fibroids.
